Portfolio Presentation

You porfolio should be "designed". Web/CD/DVD menu with links to you work to be presented to your lecturer on handup day - 9th May 2008 (schedule to follow in a later post)

Be careful:

• start by creating a new folder called "portfolio" in My Documents.
• create a html / powerpoint or flash file and save it immediately with the name and title as "portfolio" in the portfolio folder
• copy the list below, highlighting text to create hyperlinks.
• When linking to flash files remember that you should open the FLA document in flash, save it with the name that you want, then PUBLISH to create the SWF and HTML. Copy both the SWF and HTML files in the portfolio folder and link to the HTML document to prevent stretching and scaling. (Don't rename SWF files and expect the HTML files to work - they won't!)
• If you use Powerpoint, be careful to ensure that it uses RELATIVE links and not ABSOLUTE links, as your presentation will fail if you use ABSOLUTE links.
• When all is complete, you need to copy the portfolio folder to your webserver, and onto a blank CD. You need to include a file called "index.html" inside the portfolio folder on the web. You need to create an autorun.inf file in the root of the CD
• MAKE SURE YOU TEST EVERYTHING! If your portfolio is not working on your Website, or CD YOU WILL LOOSE MARKS.
