FLASH - invisible button

Insert New Symbol
Choose "button" as the behaviour, enter a name for the button e.g. inv_but.
The frames are labelled Up, Over, Down & Hit
Select the Hit frame and insert a keyframe by pressing F6
Now draw a rectangle where there stroke has no colour and the fill is any colour
Double click on the rectangle to select it
Choose Info from the Window menu
enter Width (336) & Height(280) for the rectangle and X (0) & Y(0) pressing the ENTER key after you enter each value.

To return to the main timeline click "Scene1"

To place an instance of the button on the stage, first open the library (CTRL+L), then drag the symbol to the stage. In the properties panel enter a name for the Instance Name = inv_but

NB: make sure to turn off buttons within FLASH by unchecking "Enable simple button" from the Control menu

Within the Flash editor you will now see the invisble button instance as a light blue colour.

Test it by pressomg CTRL+Enter and moving the mouse over the button. Where the button is underneath the mouse the mousepointer changes to a pointing hand.
